What is Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome?
Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome is due to a specific chromosomal deletion (4p-) which is the cause of typical facial features and developmental delays. Some symptoms include a small head size (microcephaly), "Greek helmet like" nose shape, wide spaced eyes (hypertelorism), and mental retardation.
