What is impetigo?

Impetigo is a bacterial skin infection caused by streptococcus (strep), staphylococcus (staph) or methicillin resistant staph aureus (MRSA). A break in the skin can introduce bacteria to the body, causing inflammation and infection.

Common symptoms reported by people with impetigo

Reports may be affected by other conditions and/or medication side effects. We ask about general symptoms (anxious mood, depressed mood, fatigue, pain, and stress) regardless of condition.
