What is functional dyspepsia?

Functional dyspepsia is a condition that causes an upset stomach or pain or discomfort in the upper belly, near the ribs with No evidence of structural disease (including at upper endoscopy) that is likely to explain the symptoms.

Reports may be affected by other conditions and/or medication side effects. We ask about general symptoms (anxious mood, depressed mood, fatigue, pain, and stress) regardless of condition.
