What is transient osteoporosis of hip?

Transient osteoporosis is reversible and painful, typically found in the hip joint. Range of motion is limited and pain is common with bearing weight. Generally this condition resolves by itself over 6 to 12 months. While bones are weakened, it is important to prevent bone fractures.
