What is migraine with brainstem aura?

A migraine with brainstem aura (also known as basilar migraine) is a rare type of headache that has visual auras, vertigo and other atypical headache symptoms originating from the brainstem and/or affecting both hemispheres of the brain at the same time, but with no motor weakness.
