What is tricuspid valve regurgitation?

Tricuspid valve regurgitation is a condition of the heart. The tricuspid valve does not close properly, causing the blood to flow backward (leak) into the right upper heart chamber (atrium) when the right lower heart chamber (ventricle) contracts.
