Advice & Tips
Prayer and specifically the psychological and spiritual act of giving God my anxiety, fears, stress, and pain is my primary tool in stress management. Belief in that Higher Power and His intimate concerns about my life and challenges changes the entire ball game for my mental state. Not only do I have a benevolent and omnipotent Creator, but I have One to Whom I can bring my deepest, darkest fears and even the most insignificant mundanities that cross my mind. I also can trust this God to deliver me from my financial woes and my health problems because I've seen His work in these areas time and again in response to my prayers. Prayer is the most central part of my recovery mindset. I will see my God's goodness in the land of the living (Psalm 27).
