What is Rasagiline? Rasagiline is a MAO inhibitor which can enhance the activity of dopamine at the synapse. It is sometimes used in early Parkinson's as a monotherapy to enhance naturally existing levels of dopamine, or may be added on as an "adjunct" to other drugs in later stages.

Advice/Tips: Although my neuro said that I would see immediate results, it was nearly 2 weeks before I saw anysignificant results. Before the 2 weeks, my progress on Azilect was uneven. My symptoms would get better and then worse than before. It has now been 4 weeks. My progress still seems uneven/spotty.I believe that there is room for improvement. It is almost like Azilect is working, but not all the way.
