What is Binaural beats?

Binaural beats are auditory processing artifacts, or apparent sounds, the perception of which arises in the brain independent of physical stimuli. The sounds can lower the brain frequency to relax the listener or to raise it to help focusing and may stimulate certain glands to produce hormones.
