What is TB Skin Test (PPD)?

TB skin tests, also known as PPD (Purified Protein Derivative) and Mantoux, are used to screen for a exposure to TB. It may be done yearly in high-risk groups - those with weakened immune systems or those who work or live around others in high-risk groups.
