What is ribavirin?

Ribavirin, an antiviral, is used to treat severe lower respiratory syncytial virus with underlying conditions such as prematurity, chronic lung conditions, congenital heart disease, immunodeficiency, immunosuppression, and recent transplant recipients; in combination with interferon alfa 2b in Hep C
