What is Chemotherapy?

An example of Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy, in its most general sense, is the treatment of disease by chemicals[1] especially by killing micro-organisms or cancerous cells. In popular usage, it refers to antineoplastic drugs used to treat cancer or the combination of these drugs into a cytotoxic standardized treatment regimen.

Advice & Tips
I was working full time at the time of treatment and was horribly exhausted all of the time. Prior to my chemo I had asthma that I had been told was from having been sick with pneumonia and scarring my lungs. After my chemo and radiation treatments my asthma was gone. Go figure.
