Advice & Tips
My most immediate issue(s) were Obsessive Compulsive Disorder as well as Major Depressive Disorder and Anxiety. My counselor was helpful in answering questions and looking up information, but she really had no real training in what I needed her for. When I started with Excess Daytime Sleepiness, I kept forgetting appts or sleeping through them (either at home or at her office).

Advice & Tips
I'm not entirely sure my therapist understands how deeply my issues affect ME. She thinks everything can be solved by just stopping the obsessive behaviors--she claims they are a substitution for something else--I want to know WHAT THAT SOMETHING ELSE IS. I am also constantly obsessed with details--I am always asking questions about the most minute things; I can't even get through a movie because I get caught up with minor inconsistencies and I don't appreciate the "editorial license" that producers take, even though I'm an [former] editor, copywriter, copyeditor and published writer. I want all these questions in my head to stop.
