What is Lexapro?

Lexapro® is a brand name for the antidepressant escitalopram, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). It affects chemicals in the brain that may become unbalanced and cause depression or anxiety. It is used to treat anxiety and major depressive disorder.
