Advice & Tips
After years of going to different counselors, this therapist was by far the best I've ever had. It is worth going with commitment and the help of a counselor that is actually concerned with helping you and making a difference in your life. I think finding the right counselor is one of the biggest struggles.

Advice & Tips
If you have PTSD, it's very important to have a therapist who is up-to-date on the latest and most effective therapies. If not treated properly, it can worsen your PTSD in the long run. Having found a fantastic trauma therapist improved my life 100%. It took two years of VERY hard work on my part, but to finally have relief made it worth every minute. I feel SO much better. Also, major life events (like getting cancer again) can trigger a PTSD flare. It helps to be aware of how you are feeling... and to get help right away. The flare can be tamped down.
