What is Alprazolam XR?

Alprazolam XR is a long-acting version of alprazolam, a benzodiazepine. Alprazolam affects chemicals in the brain that may become unbalanced and cause anxiety. It is used to treat anxiety disorders, panic disorders, and anxiety caused by depression.
