Subthalamic nucleus (STN) stimulation is deep brain stimulation (DBS) of the subthalamic nucleus of the brain. STN DBS is a neurosurgical treatment for Parkinson’s disease that is used to treat tremor and other motor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.
