What is Source Naturals Alpha Lipoic Acid?

Alpha Lipoic Acid, also known as Lipoic and Thioctic acid, is an antioxidant that has been used in the treatment of Vitamin C or E deficiency. Studies suggest it may have a positive effect in animal models of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease. It is also used as a chelator in heavy metal poisoning
