Advice & Tips: after trying 4 different kinds of seizure med gained 70 lbs I asked to go back to Dilantin . now they feel other meds or symptoms may be counteracting with my Dilantin from working , trying me on metformin for sugar to help with counteractions .

Advice & Tips: I have to take topomax reg DAW because the generic topomax causes me to have , pedimal seizures . No matter what the dr, or insurance co. tells you , the generic is not as safe , always found out many times with other meds .

Advice & Tips: Medication are set up a week in advance for 3 time a day. Had additional benefit of weight lose over a year of from 315 to 240. Quit smoking and put on 20 pounds and thyroid went out of wack and added another 25 lbs.

Advice & Tips: I was Actually put on Topamax for my epilepsy. Controlling my headaches was the best side effect from a medication that I ever experienced. But I still find that getting a good nights sleep and trying my best to eat healthy helps a lot.

Advice & Tips: Topamax has been a very good for me. When I first went onit it was just to controll seizures, but then I started having cluster headaches it was increased . I do my very best not to miss a dose of medication. I also try to get to know the people at the pharmacy(they know me by name) it helps me when I hve any probs.

Advice & Tips: I suffered from crushing migraines for 40 years.... when i got the 100mg dose 2 x day my migraines disappeared, fir that i will put up with aphasia and stuttering and spelling errors to not have crushing pain for 40 years. i can now wean off the narcotics i took norco 10mg /325 to get pain control to 4-5/10 and now i am pain free it is a good trade.

Advice & Tips: 1. I feel groggy for about 12+ hours after taking this medication. I usually have to resort to taking Caffeine pills as a small "pick-me-up". 2. No unexpected benefits 3. Too sleepy to function to full capability.
