Advice & Tips
Be sure your massage therapist is experienced in dealing with fibromyalgia and is willing to listen and seeks your input. Remember that you are in charge of the session, not the massage therapist, but be open to their input, as well.
Tried hot stone massage and felt great, but next few days were painful. Muscles/nerves had been manipulated that maybe shouldn't have? Not sure. Haven't felt like going when I've had time since, or weather prevented.
This treatment has given me my life back. I went for two months once a week and now I go about once every month. It has taken away my pain, gotten me off drugs completely and given me my energy and smile back. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is currently suffering. It was the first time that I ever went to any doctor, therapist, etc. and they actually said they were going to be able to fix me. I finally had a small sliver of hope and it turned out to be a true gift.

Advice & Tips
I really do enjoy going for my massages. It not only helps with decreasing my pain but it also helps with overall relaxation and stess relief. I also find it is very beneficial in lowering my anxiety levels and just gives me an overall general feeling of wellbeing.
Purposes:Other, General health, Fibromyalgia, Pain, Stiffness in jaw, Pain in shoulders, Neck pain, Pressure headaches, and Joints ache (whole body)(Started Jan 17, 2009)
I do recommend this treatment, because it does get those tough knots out of our muscles, which does make me feel a bit better, after the initial shock and pain.
