Advice & Tips: I started taking 1 pill in the morning and 1 in the evening for 7days. then 1 pill a day until I see my PCP, on day 15 and feeling very nauseated and in alot of pain.

Advice & Tips: I hated being on Prednisone, and was never able to see if it had positive effects because I stopped after a couple months. The bloating, weight gain, and moodiness were too much for me to handle. I gained 10-15 pounds while taking it (which is quite extreme on my petite 5'2'' frame). Also, my mood swings were uncontrollable. The drug wasn't for me, and possibly because I was put on too high of a dosage. Because of my bad experience, I never take steroids, unless it is a 1-time injection to help my immune system beat a cold.

Advice & Tips: I HAD NO PROBLEM TAKING THE TABLETS APART FROM THEM TASTING DISGUSTING. PREDNISONE HELPED BY TAKING SOME OF THE INFLAMATION AWAY THEREFORE I WASN'T IN AS MUCH PAIN. THE ONLY PROBLEM OR SIDE EFFECT THAT I HAD WAS THAT I GAINED WEIGHT & MY FACE BLOW UP LIKE A PUFFER FISH & LOOKED VERY ROUND. I WAS ON PREDNISONE FOR YEARS WELL SINCE 2007 & IT WAS A GREAT INFLAMATORY BUT I HAVE RECENTLY BEEN CHANGED TO METHOTREXATE WHICH IS A STEP UP FROM PREDNISONE & ONLY TO BE TAKEN ONCE A WEEK INSTEAD OF EVERY DAY. I AM ON HEAPS OF TABLETS MORNING NOON & NIGHT SO I DON'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS OR WAS PUT OUT FOR TAKING THESE TABLETS. THEY ARE A VERY TINY TABLET SO THEY WON'T GET STUCK IN YOUR THROAT.

Advice & Tips: I used predisone b/c I was positive for anti heart block. I used it for my last 2 pregnancies. My children were both born healthy. It deteriorated my bone density but was worth it.
