I have been on this medication for 25 years. I just went off when I had my children. This has been one of the drug of choices for me. I have never had Lithium poisoning and I get blood work done regularly. I did have a thyroid problem that they believe was stemmed from Lithium. They cut my Lithium back for a while and it went away. I went back to 900 mg later on and I have not had a thyroid problem since.

Advice & Tips
This medication helped me more with my depression than any other medication evry has. However, it basically stopped my metabolism in its tracks, and i was only 16 at the time. I gained at least 40 pounds in around 2 months withput changing anything else in my life. Unfortunately, this ended up mking me more upset in the long run so I discontinued this medication.
