Identify earliest aura symptoms and take Eletriptan early. Once the headache starts, Eletriptan can be ineffective or even encourage a worse migraine. Some early aura symptoms for me: Elation, mental fuzziness, slight headache. Avoid triggering foods (smoked meat, Splenda, etc.) as much as possible, to prevent as many migraines as possible. Get coupons from the manufacturer's website. With a coupon (reusable card), I pay $10 per month for a prescription that would otherwise cost a $40 copay.
