If at all possible try and ask your doctor for the delayed release or quetiapine XL version. I started this in september last year after a year of the old quetiapine it was a much more pleasant experience compared to the old drug. Unfortunatly the only benefit of this drug is that it calms mania, reduces the occurence of the psychosis and somewhat numbs you so you don't know what you feel. Can't say much more really. Other than it doesn't half make you sleepy... zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Plan to be EXTREMELY sleepy and incoherent when you first start taking it, even the extended release version.
