Advice & Tips
Self-injecting is MUCH easier than you think it will be ahead of time. Because I am extremely lean, I find it's more comfortable to insert the needle at a shallow angle. Definitely rotate injection sites daily.

Advice & Tips
I think it really helped for 14 years. My MS changed from RRMS to SPMS. Because the effectiveness for secondary progressive is not known I stopped treatment to start a study.

Advice & Tips
I use an ice pack to numb the area before taking my shot. After, I take the ice pack and massage the area for a minute it help with the after sting and moving the medication around so it don't raise up under my skin and cause an irritation. I know shots get old after a while but this will help with some of the pain of doing it.

Advice & Tips
I have been taking Copaxone since I was first diagnosed and I think it is a life saving drug. I don't like the needles everyday but it had kept me out of a wheelchair (By the grace of God) I have had a couple of reactions when I first started it. I feel good being on it and it gives me a positive attitude that my MS Will not ruin my life I am in control of my life.

Advice & Tips
I developed lumps/knots under my skin that may not have been related to the Copaxone. After ultra-sound and MRI, no conclusive diagnoses for the knots. I was so tired of the daily shots and the sudden development of the knots I decided to stop the treatment.

Advice & Tips
I get tired of taking this shot every day, however, I have had no major flare ups since beginning this medication. Very soon after I began this medication I lost 15 pounds and that was an unexpected benefit. In the beginning and for six or eight months the injection site itched and nearly drove me nuts. I ignored the itching and one day realized the itching had stopped.
