Advice & Tips
At this point I am seeing no benefit to the medication, other than it is my only option for treatment. I feel very bad all of the time.

Advice & Tips
I took Gilenya for 16 weeks and took 4 rounds of antibiotics for 3 different problems with infections which started immediately upon starting Gilenya. Also had a flare up which required hospital stay with IV steroids. Gilenya & I did not play nicely with each other, but it may work wonders for you. I myself am going back to Tysabri.

I am able to walk better, have better gait, less spasicity in my legs. I believe the problem is drug interaction with Synthroid. We'll soon find out.

Advice & Tips
After that first dose I was shuffled off to the ER with a low heart rate. After 5 trips to the ER with blood red eyes and severe pain They finally diagnosed me with optic neuritis... DUH!! Yes they do blame Gilenya and yes my eyes are damaged. The Doctor told me that the drug is out of my system but it damaged some of my eye nerves. He also told me that it's not permanent and my nerves will repair themselves. IN TIME!! Bullshit. I am now a new statistic.

Advice & Tips
For me the Gilenya caused a lot of pain. My neck tends to spasm and be sore anyway this made it worse and added bad back pain. I would wake up very tight and sore. Took for 5 weeks, pain never got better. As soon as I stopped it subsided and went back to just the neck pain like before, woke up feeling so much better the first day without as much pain then the second and third day were even better. For me this was not a good experience. My doctor has another patient that has done great on it. Maybe it is just due to the fact that I have really tight muscles anyhow.
