This Medication did wonder;s in the begining of the treatment, however over time the medication stopped working, and when I stopped I had run out of medication, before it had came in to the clinic, and I couldn't tell any difference in not taking it been off for nearlyy 6 weeks, and still no difference's at all.
When I first started taking Savella I was titrated to a 50mg dose twice daily and it made me really nauseated. The next time I saw the doctor, I told her I was getting very nauseated after taking it, and I was eating before I took it. She decreased the dose to 25mg twice a day. That helped with the nausea, but the pain was still pretty bad.
This helps, but like most Fibromyalgia patients, it doesn't completely fix the problem. Initially I feel like Savella was the golden pill, but after about 3 weeks, my body adjusted so that I had pain again, though not as much as with out this treatment.
It is a great new drug. I have a cocktail of Savella, Lyrica Flexeril and Oxycodone and it works for me. I know that some day taking these medications are probably going to do something to my organs but it makes me function like a normal human being as much as possible.I have a high tolerance to medications so I don.t get the symptoms like some people do. If you met me you would never know I was on all these medications and for that I am Thankful.
