I have taken this medicine, with the exception of about a year, since 1991, and have not had any grand mal seizures. I have had mild aural seizure activity, but not bad enough to warrant a visit to the doctors. It has been 20 years without a grand mal seizure for me, and I think that is a big accomplishment compared to how I did before I started taking Depakote.
I measure my medicine out in a seven-day reminder container, so I dont forget to take the medicine. I have been free from Major tonic-clonic seizures for over 12 years, now.
1. I manage it daily by always taking my medication and doing what the doctor says.
2. I don't know of any.
3. It isn't really a big set back although it is something that you have to remember.
