I have been taking this med since the beginning of October 2010 and I love this med. I was previously on Strattera which for me just caused major mood swings. This med evens my moods and makes me focus all day so that work around the house can be done in a timely manner. I have learned though that it does not work at all if I "allow" myself to be distracted, TV, not concentrating on the task at hand, or focusing to hard on one little part that then will get me distracted. I have taught myself to look at the whole job and then look at it in pieces. Even with meds it does take practice to overcome aduld ADD and a bit of regimented discipline. At times it helps to have a friend come over to supervise and keep you on task as well as allow for a break from time to time so you do not get too overwhelmed. ADD in an adult is difficult at best to manage but if friends and family make an effort to understand it makes life much easier to conquer the problem and become successful at self management...Learn to reward yourself.

This med gave me much, much more ability to focus than I ever dreamed a medication could ever do! This med is a controlled substance that is difficult to handle with the pharmacies. I have to get and take to the pharmacy a new prescription each time because of the number of people that will try to abuse this drug. It is shameful that those who can really benefit from a drug are the ones punished for the fault of those who do not need the drug but who abuse it!
