Advice & Tips: It lets you sleep, but you never get deep sleep. I would usually dream all night long and never have a really restful sleep. It was better than nothing, but I'm glad I'm finally off of it (taking Trazadone REALLY helps my sleep a lot).

Advice & Tips: When you take this medication, place the tablet underneath your tongue while you are lying down. It works fast! Be careful, this medication can cause sleep walking... I wake up with bruises all over because I sleep walk and hit doorways or things I didn't see earlier if I need to use the bathroom or whatnot.

Advice & Tips: Ambien is addicting so use with caution. It also interferes with Stage 4 of dreamless sleep so it does not mimic natural sleep the way cannabis does for example. It also exacerbates my sleep apnea and asthma. It can also produce some amnesia, goofy dreams, and mild perceptional distortions. I was on this med for 4 years before I discovered medical cannabis which was the key for me to get off this drug successfully.

Advice & Tips: For me, it helps me to fall asleep, I THINK. I don't stay asleep, but I'm not on the controlled release version of this, just regular Ambien. I don't like taking it every night, but I was in denial of how poor my sleeping habits were, they are awful and that can't be good for my mood problems. If I get 6 hours of sleep a night I am INCREDIBLY lucky. 5 is normal, I think. I'm not sure how much time I spend sleeping or tossing and turning though. I know I'm in bed for five hours at least. It helps a lot of people, but not me so much. Eh.

Advice & Tips: It really helps me fall a sleep. It does not always help me stay a sleep but the Ambien ER did. My insurance does not cover the cost of the ER.

Advice & Tips: Before I started taking Ambien CR my sleep was very very poor. I would wake up between 5-6 times during the night. Since taking Ambien CR I have slept much better during the night and wake up feeling energized and ready to start the day.
