It's aother pill. I was taking the max on the pill but it wasn't helping me enough so I had the Baclofen pump put it me.

My Baclofen is administered through an intrathecal pump implanted just under the skin in my upper buttocks. I cannot control any part of the device, the doctor does everything through a handheld scanner. Medication refills are done in my doctors office through a little port that is accessed via a small catheter. This is a quick procedure and does not hurt.

Highly addictive with hideous withdrawal if stopped or reduced suddenly. I forgot a few times and it wasn't pretty!

there is a very fine line between what is needed to reduce spasticity, and taking to much so muscle weakness is intensified. everyone taking this drug should know what the line is, as not to be counter productive.

It gave me sudden periods of intense sleepiness. I was unsafe driving and twice needed the wake up bumps on the side of the road to make it home from work in the afternoon/early evening after taking baclofen the night before. The drowsiness hit in waves from mid morning on through the day, and baclofen was the only change in my meds/routine.

I have no problems taking Baclofen, but am always mindful how it affects my mobility - which is NOT positive! I find taking a drink of AllCalm before bed much more beneficial for spasms, or restless leg syndrome. It is a Magnesium Citrate drink and works almost straight away! EXCELLENT! It does not affect my mobility.

I wouldn't be surprised if this drug was causing some of us to be in a wheelchair - but what do you do with spasms? I find that Magnesium Chelate (All Calm) works wonders! However, you have to boil water and who wants to get out of bed in the middle of the night? Thats when I have to resort to Baclofen!
