My experience with the counseling intern at school was great, and different than experiences I've had with therapy. She revealed to me yesterday that she was not a CBT therapist, which I've only had in the past. She said she was more psycho-dynamic I think. She focuses more on symbols and awareness, and made my life make more sense and more meaningful. I'm going to look more into this kind of therapy, since she was just a graduate student intern.

Advice & Tips
After years of going to different counselors, this therapist was by far the best I've ever had. It is worth going with commitment and the help of a counselor that is actually concerned with helping you and making a difference in your life. I think finding the right counselor is one of the biggest struggles.
