The startup was a little rough but it has helped the mental side of it all for me. I only cried for 20 minutes after my first attack then got right back to work. Over time I'm thinking it might not always be this way but it was nice when it worked.

I stopped taking it w/out Dr.'s input to see if it was the cause of my excessive daytime sleepiness. I can now last about 3 hours awake before I start getting tired; I don't think it was the Cymbalta. Other med changes might have helped give me the extra 3 hours; too little, too late.

If I miss the dose in the a.m., I can't take it later, or it will keep me up all night, which I certainly don't want or need. I guess it's worth all the worry of side effect, per doctor recommendation.

it was difficult for me to access whether medicine was working or not, due to the rest of the medicines i have been switched on and off

this med definitely helped my mood, but i had absolutely no libido, not ok when im engaged to be married in a year (not that thats ever "ok") also the side effects were so sever, with no warning from my dr, i couldn't even function. please take into consideration that even if this med works for you, the side effects when going off can be extremely sever.

It doubles as a very good antidepressant and helps with fibromyalgia also. I highly recommend it as an antidepressant, I don't know how well it is helping my fibro pain.
