Advice & Tips
The reason Hyperglycemia is listed is because Lantus seems to run out of my system in about 18 1/2 hours, not the optimal 20-24. Other than that, I have been taking Lantus for two weeks and have seen an average drop of 10.5/mmol in my average BS. After years of running from 13 to well over 30, being under 20 (mostly under 13!!!) is incredible. I am hoping to see more improvement as my metabolic system adjusts itself, and as we fine-tune my insulin dosing. But Lantus is fantastic, as far as I'm concerned.
