I think it has slowed prgression. Shots are a pain, and bother. Injections burn sometimes and leave redness, bruising, and a lump. Itches.

Shots weren't too bad for me, helped to pull the shots out and let them warm up. For me, I had allergic reactions that grew more and more frequent until they were weekly (difficulty breathing, diarhea, vomiting and chills)

It does get better, even after a few months, for me laying off caffeine for the hour before I took my shot reduced the sting of the medicine entering my body

I just wonder what it would be like if i did not take the shots, I think the medicine dose help me, as I know how i feeling before. I stillc tired and wore out but over all I feel great. As i know the tireness is something for now i have to live with

I think taking the shots has helped me out, I know how I felt before i started my treatments, so I feel positive about my treatment. I'm on a program so there is no cost to me for the shots,

For burden I put that it is not difficult at all, not because self injections aren't a little creepy, but because it is not hard for me to suck it up and do it anyway. I want to get better and I will do anything I can to help myself. The injections really aren't that bad, just a little sting (I will admit right now I take a deep breath, count and go on 3). :) So far I have NO SIDE EFFECTS, no bump, blister or anything :)

I inject my copaxone every evening before bed after my shower. I have found that if I inject slowly I have much less trouble with pain & lumps after the injection. The stinging, pain & itch has decreased over time as I have been on Copaxone for over 8 months. You are not supposed to massage the site for 24 hours after injecting but it helps to do so if it has been >24hrs. I will never be able to know for sure but I believe this treatment has been very effective. I have been doing much better after several months on it.
