This was a miracle drug for me. It is IV chemotherapy treatment for last ditch effort in treating MS. It turned my world around to where I felt like a functioning human again. It virtually stopped my exacerbations and I was able to walk on my own for the first time in seven years. The side effects were terrible for about two weeks after treatment. Vomiting and nausea, with lots of weakness and I lost my hair. The sad thing is that you can only take so many treatments in a lifetime. Now that mine are over I am going downhi again.

You are only able to take 12 treatments in your lifetime. Every 3 months. I have had good results on this medication. Your doctor has to check your heart prior to starting and before ever treatment.

While I was taking Novantrone, I had very very little side effects, maybe slight nausea once, but the benefits for outweigh any problems!! It was definately worth it!!

I took IV Novantrone every 3 months for two years. Since that time, I have not had another exacerbation of the MS. I think if is wonderful and very thankful that I was able to take it! Now I do have a pretty normal life!! Although I had already lost my job due to cognitive difficulties caused by the MS, I wish I could have taken it at the very beginning!!
