This med only worked the first time/night I took it. I started out one tablet 100mg for one week. The first night was good, next day felt slow, brain fog, weak, lazy and hungry. But no sleep. Week two same thing, worked the first night then all the side effects only stronger. The third week was the same thing all over only worse side effects. This med did nothing to help me sleep, but it did make me feel awful.

Vivid dreams, thats ok with me. Really making me feel run down during the daytime. No energy, fogy head feeling. It has gotten somewhat better after a week. Problems still with falling asleep. If I do wake up I manage to go back to sleep better. I could up the dose and maybe that would help to get me to sleep. I may try that at end of the week.

This medicine has stopped working as well with my current medication. When I do take it.. I still suffer from horrible dreams and wake very groggy.

took Trazodon for a while and loved it but guess my Body got to use to it now. New Med I take have sleeping aid, so Trazodon isn't needed anymore.

Tips & Advice :: Taking my single dose right before bed works best for me. I've noticed that if you make the mistake of taking it but are not really ready for sleep, you tend to Not be able to sleep at all that night. For example you take your dose, and then stay out of bed for more than a half an hour finishing emailing, or reading the news. When you finally do climb into bed, and shut off the light --- You discover that you cannot sleep! In times like this it is best to take an over-the-counter sleeping aide. The greatest way to prevent this is to finish what you need to do out of bed before you take your dose, and then climb into bed to read. If you have a nice, not too bright reading lamp to read by this helps. Within a few minutes you are ready to click it off and fall alseep. The only time you run into trouble is if your reading lamp is too bright, you are too interested in your book and ignore your own sleepiness, or you have too much to drink beforehand and have to get up multiple times to use the necessity. Any of these will cause you to fight off the effects of the medication that will allow you to go to sleep soundly, and should be avoided all together. Side-Effects ~ One of the worst side effects of Trazodone is anxiety attacks. To keep your body on an aven keel takes it's toll! Eventually all the little things that you are able to put aside start to add up, and you have a meltdown. Another issue to be aware of is this: I've always said this medication helps you to be happy IF you can find something to be happy about. The upside of this is it can be the smallest detail: You went and had a really good lunch with a friend. You had a good chat. The downside is not being able to find anything at all, because you can be really, really miserable on this medication.

I take the Trazadone mostly for sleep. Sleepiness, by the way, is the only side effect I get from it and actually, I don't consider that a side effect!
