Advice & Tips: I may stop taking it because I don't know that it is helping me. My neurologist agrees that it is Ok to try without it to see if if is currently giving me benefits or not. There seem to be no side effects but I prefer to take as little medication as possible (and also save the high cost).

Advice & Tips: It lets me walk almost normally (once I get started) and permitted me to reduce Requip and some its negative effects. It is very expensive and causes my family to quickly reach my max out of pocket prescription costs of $1,500.00. So, for most of the year there is no cost to me, because my prescription insurance picks up all cost after we reach the Max.

Advice & Tips: I have had to stop Azilect for over a month to go throough 3 minor surgeries. I notice that my Stalevo wears off, and I have had to increase from 200 daily to 300 daily.

Advice & Tips: The only thing I HATE about this medication is the fact that after discontinuing my 1/2 mg. (morning dose) and my 1mg (bedtime dose) is upon resuming that small amout within less than 24 hours it triggers my period to start. I also experienced lingual pain when exposed to a hot water environment such as a bath or hot tub. I also have to be careful of too much sun as I am prone to heat stroke.

Advice & Tips: As noted above, dosages of Leva dopa need to be decreased due to severe dyskensia Could not tolerate Azilect the first time I tried it for that reason. I hate the wiggly feeling of random movements!
