Medicare stopped paying for Comtan when I hit the "gap". The cost would have been over $700.00/month to continue. I had rationed it for the first half of the year, taking 2 each day instead of 4. I will not go back on, even though it helped. It doesn't make sense to go on it if I cannot continue all year. on the plus side, going off Comtan, I lost 8 lbs in 3 weeks.

Since going to three doses a day, I frequently have no off time, from about half an hour after I take the medication first thing in the AM, until 8 or 9 at night. Sometimes I"m still on at 10 PM when I go to bed.

Made me sick, sick, sick. It came down to being sick to my stomach or dealing with the "on/off" of tremors with Sinemet alone. Chose not to be sick all the time.
