Advice/Tips: Get every possible bit of information you can. Alternative treatments, PICC line options, side effects and long term effects are important to make an INFORMED decision.
Burden: PICC line was uncomfortable, had to be wrapped at all times, and showering was a nightmare. The PICC caused extensive blood clots. I had to switch to a peripheral IV for the last two weeks and go to the doctor once a week for infusions.
Cost: $200+ monthly
