Advice & Tips
The treatment is much easier than it appears at first. The process is easy, but untimely. It gets in the way of daily activities. I stopped because I believe I am on the placebo and I would like to try a new clinical trial.

Advice & Tips
I infused myself daily with rocephin through a port in my chest. i had to be so clean and careful. and i couldn't shower for a week(until the nurse cameto change the needle). After 5 weeks of the drug through IV i started getting major pains in my side and ended up in the emergancy room getting my infected gall blader out. Common side effect of the drug apparently. Ive stopped lyme treatment currently.
Because I was allergic to the oral drugs for Lyme and had neurological symptoms, my doc suggested I try IV Rocephin. I had a PICC line inserted and got an infusion machine and liquid doses to put in the machine and slowly infuse into my body 3 times a day. After about 10 weeks or so I had an allergic reaction with my face swelling up and my whole body itching. The doctor told me to stop as this was dangerous. About a month later I began having gall bladder pain - serious pain like heart attack symptoms but not a heart attack. I then learned that IV Rocephin is known to cause gall bladder sludge and has a distinctive "signature" on ?ultrasound? exam. I had to have my gall bladder removed due to this.
