Advice & Tips
I take this drug for seizure control, but it also eliminates my ability to have an erection for sex. It detects the arousal and quickly calms it down. It also affects my moods...when others laugh at something, I don't get the joke, or when someone in the family dies, everyone's in tears except me. My doctor said his job was to control the seizures.

Advice & Tips
This is the generic version. I find it to be just as effective. To prevent side effects (dizziness, fatigue) I will take half the dosage in the morning and the the other half at night after dinner.

Advice & Tips
I remember taking my medicine in the morning with breakfast and together with my vitamins. My doctor advised taking it at night but I will tend to forget because I tend to be too tired to think about it. I now take one in the morning and one at night. Taking them together can make me dizzy sometimes.

Advice & Tips
Lamotrigine has proven to be the most effective medication for me. On the downside, I believe it has affected my memory slightly as well as my libido. Since starting my new dosage at the beginning of July I was advised to take my medication before going to bed. I can forget to take the medication (happened twice this month). This has also caused me to wake up dizzy or feeling clumsy in the morning. For over ten years I have been without a drivers license. My doctor felt it was safe for me to be driving after I had a serious car accident. Needless to say this has affected my social life. He also told me that I should consider changing my career.( I worked as a chef). I went back to school and began studying computer technology. I use public transportation that is paid for by Metro-Dade County however the service is limited in the area where I live. I walk and ride a bicycle a lot but this can be difficult when running errands an doing groceries; I can only carry so much.

Advice & Tips
In order to remember my meds, I set an alarm on my phone to remind me. Lamictal also aids me in regulating mood swings. Once my doctor made the incread to 700mg per day I started having trouble with hyperactivity that has not gone away during the 6 weeks since the increase.

Advice & Tips
get off of PHENATOIN PRODUCTS they are, old school, 45 years old.way too many side effects 50/50 good and bad for you.side effects aren't worth long term use!but rather for immediate controll over tonic/clonic only in hospital, only in injectable form for emergency room to inject. also, the other use is upper heart chamber fluttering-see heart specialist,it controlls, slows and lowers 'fiburulation?'.
