Jun 23, 2009 Take exactly as prescribed! NO DEVIATIONS. OxyContin ARE TO BE SWALLOWED WHOLE. NOT BROKEN, CHEWED, OR CRUSHED. TAKING BROKEN, CHEWED, OR CRUSHED OxyContin TABLETS LEADS TO RAPID RELEASE AND ABSORPTION OF A POTENTIALLY FATAL DOSE OF OXYCODONE. be careful what you eat or drink with it. Even a fatty meal can increase its absorption by 27%. Need to take laxative or eat lots of fiber and drink water to prevent constipation. < $25 monthly

Feb 16, 2009 only take as needed, took myself off because of pressure from other doctors )not perscribing one) and found that i am not addicted but am dependent on it to reduce pain monthly

Dec 27, 2008 I found btw. reading fibro. books and talking w/my Dr. that one pain medication doesn't always work. I have quite a bit more wrong w/me then just fibro. so pain flare ups could come from a number of different reasons. I take the oxycodones in btw. my doses of methadone to try to keep my body feeling less pain. $25-49 monthly
