I wore the nose pillows mask (Liberty ) during the night time and I wore the full face mask during the day. The problem with both masks was that full face mask creates a sore on the bridge of my nose. The Liberty mask was a total pain because when I yawned at night, the nose pillows would come out of my nose. Since I could not use my hands, I had to call for help sometimes every hour into the night. A royal pain for me and my caregivers. Lack of sleep can be very exhausting. So my pulmonary doctor decided that it was time to get a vent. The main reason why is my c o 2 was getting too high. So I made the move to get to get a trach / vent.
My breathing is so much better now.

I use the nasal pillows during the day so I can wear my glasses. To give my nose a rest I use a mask at night. If I use small square band-aids on the bridge of my nose, there is less irratation
