After taking this for a year, it was determined that this was not working well enough - I still continued to develop lesions. Although I must add that things have improved a little since stopping it so its going to be a case of wait and see to find out how much better I will end up feeling.

I have had problems with having lost weight and finding new loctions to inject as it needs to be injected into fatty tissue. On top of that, where I have been injecting on a regular basis, the area is beginning to harden and is making it difficutl to actually inject the needle. I have been told that heating the area prior to injecting will help with the hardening (which seems to be helping) and also to massage the area much later to ensure that it disperses the drug.

The only real side effect is injecton site reaction, including swelling and itching. Because I'm unemployed, with no medical insurance, I called the Patient Assistance Program and was able to get the drug for free. Praise God!

The most difficult part is just taking it every day. I don't like shots, so I have to look past it and think of my family. I had to start a new job with late hours, so then the biggest obstacle was when to take the meds. I ended up not doing it for a couple of months, then another relapse started. I have promised my doctor, my husband, and my best friend that I will not stop the meds again. My best friend told me if I missed mine, she wasn't going to take her meds that she has been on since high school. So now I email/text her every day to let her know I have taken my shot the night before.
