| Nov 23, 2009 | Humberto talks. I barely talked for the first 17 years that I saw him - but he still talked. About all I said was "yes," "No," and mostly "I don't know." I really like him for that. It must have been terribly frustrating, but only once did I see him frustrated. Now I am able to talk to some extent about thinks other people are not interested in hearing - mood/anxiety issues, Asperger's problems. I see him every week now for a full session and only miss if I am out of town for some compelling reason. I need someone to talk to about things others won't listen to. And I really like having the history (it's now 22 or 23 years). I can't imagine having to go through all of this again with another person. I don't think I could do it. What's interesting was that during the years that I didn't speak, he still seemed to have a pretty good grasp, except for the Asperger's, of what was going on. | monthly |

| Oct 26, 2009 | Currently, and for the last 8 years, in therapy with a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who I really like. She helps me with medications and always checks in with me on physical health issues. She is very good about suggesting new activities and literature and is up on many new things. She also learns from me, which I appreciate. I used to see a therapist who has a PhD. in psychology. I was with him for about 13 years, with individual appointments and also group therapy. He is very old now and has somewhat lost his "edge." I recommend staying with therapy, even if you get angry and want to quit. I especially recommend therapy for newly sober alcoholics and addicts. | < $25 monthly |
