I stopped taking it because it was making my stomach hurt to much. I have enough issues with my stomach and taking this medication caused it to hurt worse. I tried taking it with food but it did not seem to help. I think it was either just to strong for me or there was an ingredient that did not agree with me.

I don't know what the effectiveness of this medication is yet. I still have a while to go before my Osteoporosis is severe. I am taking this medication to hopefully stop it from growing any worse.

My transplant nurse co-ordinator, and doctor, started me on Pre-natal vitamions and was on that kind for 18 months, moving me to a daily multi-vite now. The pre-natal made my fingernails grow like mad! Had to trim them once a week or maybe every 10 days, when before once evry 3 wks to a month was sufficient. So if you need better nails, try the pre-natal ones....lol
