Although I learned many things from my therapist, I didnt care for her intern and I wasnt able to establish a good relationship in my therapy, This is by no means their fault, Im not in the right place in my life for the type of behavioral therapy they offered. After my GB surgery I may continue therapy, just with Amber and not her interns.

My new therapist is definately on the right track, I really appreciated the fact she did a complete intake and explained my treatment plan in detail. I enjoyed my first visit and found her very helpful. I feel we have a good rapport and I am also looking forward to further visits and homework. I am hoping to learn new techniques in controlling my anixety and coping skills for dealing with my pain and depression. UPDATE, therapy seems to be effective and is helping me handle my flare ups and pain better. Working on behavioural therapy exercises, such as mindfulness and homework.

I am currnetly taking a break from pain management because MHG reffered me to a Rheumatolgist, Dr Harry Staley for concentrated fibromyalgia treatment, will resume treatment with Dr. Arbuck, his doctors and staff as soon as take care of other things like gastric bypass surgery. WONDERFUL doctor who has been resourceful in my treatment.

Dr Arbuck specializes in neuro psychiarty and is my pain management MD. I was pleasantly surprised on how complete and extensive my inital visit was and that most of my health care issues can be handled at his clinic. I have a great rapport with his staff and I have been extremely pleased with my care. Seems to be helping with a good deal of my pain still (UPDATE) still working on pain issues seems to be heling about half of my pain, I realize I won't be able to get rid of all my pain, but I am more mobile.

Nice structured schedule with defininte start and end, felt I could see marked progress as opposed to CBT which seemed to just go on and on with no changes in my mood or function. Have come away with ideas to process and work into my daily life that I hope can make positive changes for the future. Feel it will be useful to have some review sessions to make sure I have assimilated all the information and really taken the knowledge I gained to heart.
