- The half life of this drug is a little over 30 hours. So you will probably feel the effects of coming down off of this drug pretty quickly if you cease taking your prescribed dosage at the appropriate time. Just because you happen to feel better while taking you medicine, it does not mean that you should take yourself off of that med. Even if stresses in your life have decreased. Sometime situations are not the primary cause of your stress levels. Check with your doctor before ceasing or changing your dosage.
