Advice & Tips
See also my comments on my estrogen treatment as this was taken for the same reasons. The unexpected benefit was simply that the plan worked! I really didn't think it would. Impact on daily life was huge: stopped having weeks of heavy blood flow. Taking it for two week on and two weeks off allowed me to predict with some reliability when I was going to have a period and it reduced the sloughing/blood flow significantly.

Advice & Tips
I take this injection to stop my heavy periods and from the first injection I have not had a period since. There are some down sides to it's long term use, some people can find that they gain weight, not that I have had this problem. Another side affect can be thinning of the bones, I do have this problem but I am also on a high dose of steroid which can also do that so it is not sure what is causing it in my case. I would recommend this medication to anyone though, its easy just a small injection every 3 months.

Advice & Tips
The symptoms of my monthly cycle made my symptoms of MS worse before I started taking Depo-Provera. I highly recommended it to anyone needing to stop their monthly cycle and balance out their hormones.
