I only take this medication as needed. It is the only "allergy" relief medication that I can find. The only problem that I have is if I take it during the day it's going to put me to sleep no matter how hard I try to stay awake. It works great for my allergies, but it's terrible to take every day as prescribed on the back of the box. I use the over the counter Benadryl.

Completely stops the itching, so I can sleep. I only take it at night, so the drowsiness side effect is a good thing!

I started taking this to help with sleep and possibly with my dry skin (allergies). I don't think it helped with skin. And it seemed to me that my nightmares / hypnopomia were worse with the diphenhydramine. So I stopped it. Not a big deal either way.

rubbing the benadryl on after each injection has prevented any itching and or swelling of area- i have sensitive skin - this really works for me

Do not take that much Benadryl unless a Neuro tells you. I can't believe I took this much because a family Dr. told me.
